If a U.S senator gets big donations from health care corporations, is he too tainted to be fair to the people?

Yes. As are all the other politicians who receive donations from all sorts of people with an agenda, corporations and others. Sure doesn't stop them from taking the money, ping the legislation, and lying to us about it at re-election time.
