Why are so many incapable of properly asking a question?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. This is an excellent question and one that I can actually read without my head hurting. I don't believe that any emphasis has been put on teaching English in our schools. Most people can no longer write a grammatically correct sentence much less a paragraph. Double negatives, run-on sentences, no punctuation, poor vocabulary seems to be the new 'norm'. It is extremely bothersome to me and it was nice to see that someone finally asked an appropriate question. And you are right. It is not a Lib or Con issue.
