Have parents today lost control of their kids?

I don't think that parents have necessarily lost control of their children, i think that schools, the government, and Social Services have limited the parents and protected the children making it hard to discipline your child accordingly. Giving kids the upper hand, "if mommy hits me i'm gunna tell on her" bam you have social services knocking on your door the next day, or your called to the school with the cops waiting. I mean come on now lets give the power back to the parents!!
