Trying to find pop/rock bands from England, Ireland, Scotland...?

I'm trying to find some local bands that people in their late teens/early 20s would listen to in the UK area. I enjoy the Brit band One Night Only and the Irish band The Script, just to give you an idea. I really like their sound and wish I could find some more bands like them! Even some interesting bands from elsewhere in Europe would be cool...thanks!
